DIP Series Dotmatrix and Graphic Displays
Smart mounting
Assembling is just 2 steps only: place - solder. There are no more cables, screws or pin headers. Economy is double: first in development because there's no need to design any mechanical fixing; later in production you save time piece by piece.
Compatible
All modules from DIP series have standard controller built in. Character displays are compatible to HD44780 in pinout and software; graphic displays have SED1520 or KS0107/0108 controller on board. The bigger sized modules have a LED backlight built in (yellow/green, blue white or black/white).
Big Display - Reduced Dimensions
DIP modules optimize the available space. DoYOU know any other display
with easy readable 5.05~11.48mm character height with such compact outline dimension?
Traditional displays have smaller character size at much bigger physical outline.<br>
How does it work? DIP modules do not need these senseless pcb border
with mounting holes and through hole connectors.
Upgrade
By the way, modules of same series can replace each other because pinout and mechanical dimensions are compatible - adequate software supposed. An upgrade from character to graphic is possible at any time.
Low Power
Power consumption without backlight is typ. 1mA@5V and incl. blue/white backlight max. 60mA@5V only. With yellow/green backlight typ. 150mA.
