WLAN RF Power Amplifier

Microsemi's family of RF power amplifier modules is designed for IEEE 802.11 b/g, b/g/n, 802.11a WLAN and 802.16 WiMax wireless consumer and enterprise applications.

Microsemi Corporation - New Power Amplifier Expands Microsemi Portfolio for 802.11a/n WLAN and 802.16d/e WiMAX

Our new LX5530 amplifier strengthens Microsemi's leadership position in the existing wireless LAN and emerging high band WiMAX markets," said Paul Bibeau, Sr. Vice President and General Manager of Microsemi's Integrated Products Group. "It delivers best of class performance in a space-saving package that includes an integrated power detection function to save board space and reduce system costs," he said.

The LX5530 is a three-stage monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) manufactured in an advanced InGaP HBT process. It operates from a 3-volt to 5-volt single polarity power supply and features active bias and on-chip RF decoupling.

WLAN Front End Modules

The LX5553 is a WLAN front-end module (FEM) for 802.11b/g/n and other applications in the 2.4-2.5GHz frequency range. The LX5553 integrates a power amplifier with on-chip impedance matching, a fully matched low noise amplifier (LNA), and a single-pole triple-throw (SP3T) switch in a low profile 3x3mm package. The LX5543 is for customers who do not need an LNA.
