WIB200 Series PC/104Plus WLAN Modules:

WIB series products are full-featured wireless devices that use the PC/104 Plus form factor. WIB series work with PC/104-Plus and PCI-104 CPU modules and upgrade your embedded system into a wireless network.

WIB series provide connectivity to a WLAN network and eliminate the need for Ethernet wiring. The modules function at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WLAN bands with bandwidths of up to 108 Mbps.

WIB series are supported by a complete set of drivers and networking tools to support operating systems including Windows ME, 98SE, NT, 2000, XP, CE, Vista and Linux. See each model data for details.


Note that WIB220, WIB240, WIB250A1and WIB270 series have been replaced by newer (above) versions. WIB230B1 series is replaced by WIB250A5 series. Conexant PRISM chipset-based products have been obsoleted.

Die PC/104plus ROBUSTO WLAN Adapter für Industrielle Anwendungen unterstützen neben dem Generellen Standard im ISM = Industrial, Scientific, Medical Band im 2.4 GHz bereich (als "Wi-Fi", Wireless Fidelity bekannt), alle in Europa gebräuchlichen Standards; IEEE 802.11b,g mit 11/54Mbps Datendurchsatz. Der Ausschliesslich in den USA und Kanada verwendete 5GHz Standard 802.11a mit 54 Mbps Datenrate ist ebenfalls Lieferbar. Künftig wird ein Globaler Standard 802.11h auf 2.4GHz / 54Mbps aufbauen. Länderspezifische Anpassungen, sowie Abweichungen in Frequenz und Ausgangsleistung zB. für Militärische Anwendungen sind ebenfalls möglich. Die Antenne wird am Koaxialstecker (Optional 2) angeschlossen und jeweils an der Aussenseite des Systems angebracht. Antennen mit Richtwirkung oder z.B. Fahrzeug Antennen können so miteinander kombiniert werden. Die PC/104plus ROBUSTO WLAN Adapter mit dem Intersil Prism2.5/3.0 Chipsatz werden auf einfache weise in bestehende Netzwerke eingebunden, dies unter allen in der Industrie gebräuchlichen Betriebsystemen. Temperaturbereich 0° ~70°C im Betrieb. Treiber werden mitgeliefert. GSM/GPRS Module sowie Spezialausführungen mit 2 unabhängigen WLAN Radio-Core sind ebenfalls möglich.

The new WIB230C1 and WIB250C1 series have very wide operating system support including Windows ME, 98SE, NT,2000, XP, X64, CE, Linux, MAC, OpenBSD; FreeBSDand NetBSD. Software AP (Access Point) functionality and Cisco CCX V1.0, V2.0 and V3.0 operating modes are also included.
