The name PIP stands for a compact, robust, low power, fanless, ready to use Industrial PC with a long term availability guarantee that fits on a DIN Rail or a Wall and is ready for connection and operation.
Based on various CPU's (700 MHz up to 2,0 GHz), Intel & PowerPC. Noiseless, no fan's, System power consumption as low as 7 Watts, with Core 2 Duo M 1,5 GHz only 25W, Graphics,Ethernet, USB, RS232, CAN, Fire Wire, HDD, Floppy, PC/104 interfaces in ALU-housing (Expanable). Long term availability due the use of components from the Embedded program Rugged solution for use in medicine, railways, trucks, communication, portable, military, Industry.
