5 Port Manageable GigaBit Ethernet Switch

The MAGBES-Family consists of 6 different manageable Gigabit Ethernet Switch models. The boards are PC/104 sized and offered as stand-alone, PC/104 stacked and special PIP built-in mechanical versions. They are available with different port configurations, either with 5 copper ports, or with 3 copper and 2 SFP optical transceiver ports.

Small form-factor pluggable (SFP) transceivers are available with a variety of different transmitter and receiver types. It allows the users to select the appropriate transceiver for each link to provide the required fiber optical interface.

The SPIDERLAN-Family consists of universal high performance, compact and robust Ethernet Switch modules for industrial use. With a single PC/104-Plus module your system can be expanded with up to 2 ethernet controllers, each combined with a 5 port ethernet switch. So the board comes with up to eight fully independent operating external 10/100BASE-TX ports, available on RJ45 connectors. Each switch automatically determines and remembers where an Ethernet device is located and routes packets only to the appropriate port. This minimizes network loading, eliminates collisions and enables true deterministic communications over Ethernet. The SPIDERLAN is available as compact single PC/104-Plus module or as expandable version for front panel assemblies!

Triple Gigabit Ethernet Controller

The TRIGET-Family consists of highly integrated, flexible, and robust PC/104-Plus compliant Ethernet modules for industrial use. With a single PC/104-Plus module a system can be expanded with up to three Gigabit Ethernet controllers! Through the use of a PCI to PCI bridge the TRIGET requires only one slot on a PC/104-plus stack. Therefore the stack still can be expanded by up to 3 other PC/104-Plus cards.

Epsilon-8100 is a managed Layer 2+ Ethernet switch module offering eight 10/100/1000Mbps copper twisted pair ports in the compact PC/104 form factor. Epsilon-8100 is designed for rugged applications including industrial, on-vehicle and military.

Epsilon-8100 is a standalone switch that does not require any host computer interface. All switch functions are managed by a 416MHz MIPS processor embedded directly into the switch. The processor is accessed via an in-band web interface over one of the Ethernet ports or via an out-of-band command-line interface over an RS-232 serial port. The integrated web interface provides an intuitive GUI for use in configuring and managing all switch functionality. On-board memory holds dual application images, boot code, MAC addresses, and other parameters, and can also be used for program execution.

Epsilon-8100's advanced Ethernet switch board includes two innovative features that enable automatic power savings. The switch can detect unused Ethernet ports on network devices and power them down or place them in stand-by mode. Additionally, the switch actively adjusts the power level needed based on cable length, saving energy on links shorter than the 100m maximum specified length.

Input power is provided through the built-in, wide-range +5 to +36VDC power supply, enabling operation using industrial power sources. Epsilon-8100 was designed for use in vehicle and harsh environment applications. All I/O connectors are latching, providing enhanced reliability over the RJ-45 connectors used in commercial Ethernet switches. A 50% thicker PCB provides better protection against vibration in vehicle environments. The wide range 5-36V input power supply is compatible with all common vehicle and industrial power sources. The -40ºC to +85ºC operating range makes Epsilon-8100 suitable for use in outdoor and vehicle applications.

Epsilon-8100 comes loaded with all required firmware, enabling its immediate operation without any development effort. The included web interface provides an intuitive GUI for use in configuring and managing switch functionality.

Managed 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch with wide voltage input and serial management port.

Epsilon is a managed Layer 2+ Ethernet switch module offering eight 10/100/1000Mbps copper twisted pair ports on a PC/104 form-factor board.

Epsilon can be used standalone, without any connection to a single board computer, or in conjunction with a host CPU. The module's built-in microcontroller handles configuration and management. On-board memory holds dual application images, boot code, MAC addresses, and other parameters, and can also be used for program execution.

An RS-232 serial port enables communication between the module's on-board management microcontroller and a host processor for out-of-band management. Epsilon's built-in microcontroller is also accessible via a web management interface over one of the Ethernet ports. This port is then shared for simultaneous web management and normal usage.

Input power can be provided through the built-in, wide-range +7-36VDC power supply, enabling operation using industrial power sources. Alternatively, Epsilon can be powered from a +5VDC source.

To support the temperature extremes of fixed and mobile applications in both indoor and outdoor environments, the module supports fanless operation over -40°C to +85°C.
